Urmil Shah

Urmil Shah has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Urmil started their career as a Summer Intern at Whirlpool of India Ltd. in 2011. Urmil then worked with IIT Bombay Racing for four years, taking on roles in engineering and management, and ultimately leading the team as Overall Coordinator to build an electric vehicle. In 2012, they became the Overall Coordinator for the Student Mentor Program and also served as a student representative in policy making bodies at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.

After that, Urmil joined Bain & Company in 2013 as an Associate Consultant, providing strategic support to CEOs and management in sectors like Auto, Financial Services, Energy, Impact Investing, and Private Equity. Urmil was promoted to Senior Associate Consultant and worked on various projects including private equity diligence, development of the market for energy-efficient thermal power plants in India, and sales improvement for housing finance companies.

In 2015, Urmil co-founded Carnot Technologies Private Limited, an IoT startup focused on developing India's first connected car product. Their vision is to build a network of cloud-connected vehicles for a smarter and more connected world.

Later, in 2018, Urmil joined Swiggy as a Creator, Business at Swiggy Labs. Urmil was involved in driving experimentation and exploring potential new business lines through real-world experimentation.

Urmil Shah completed their education in a chronological manner. Urmil attended Hiranandani Foundation School, Powai from 1994 to 2006. After completing their school education, they pursued their Integrated B.Tech. & M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, from 2008 to 2013. Prior to their enrollment at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, Urmil Shah also attended Kendriya Vidyalaya IIT Powai from 2006 to 2008, although no degree or field of study is specified during this period.
