Carolyn Twisdale

Carolyn Twisdale has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several decades. Carolyn started their career as a Staff Auditor and Senior Auditor at Deloitte, where they gained valuable experience in conducting audits for various industries. Carolyn then moved on to Rex Healthcare, where they served as the Director of General Accounting and Controller, overseeing a team and implementing new technology systems. After that, they joined WakeMed as the Director of Accounting, Financial Planning & Payroll, managing a team and contributing to the financial management of the organization. Carolyn later became the Chief Financial Officer & Assistant Treasurer at Salemtowne, a continuing care retirement community, where they provided financial and operational management. Most recently, they held the positions of VP of Finance - Chief Financial Officer & Assistant Secretary and Controller at Still Hopes Episcopal Retirement Community. Currently, Carolyn Twisdale serves as the Director of Finance And Accounting at Carolina Meadows, Inc.

Carolyn Twisdale completed their education at East Carolina University - College of Business, earning a BSA degree in Accounting from 1982 to 1986. Prior to attending university, they obtained a High School Diploma from Enfield Academy between 1970 and 1982. In terms of additional certifications, Carolyn Twisdale obtained their Certified Public Accountant license from the North Carolina State Board of Certified Public Accountant Examiners in 1988, which requires annual continuing professional education of 40 hours per year to maintain the license.
