Umesh Mehta

Chief Medical Officer and Chief of ECT Services at Carrier Clinic

Dr. Umesh Mehta started his career at Carrier Clinic in 1993 as a lead physician in Geriatric Psychiatry. Since then he has served several positions including ECT Clinical Director, Medical Director & Interim Chief Medical Officer. In January 2017, he was appointed to CMO position & Chief of ECT Services.

Dr. Mehta is Board Certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and also certified by Association of Convulsive Therapy. Dr. Mehta is also a member of International Society for ECT and Neurostimulation (ISEN).

Prior to joining Carrier Clinic in 1993 he served a clinical fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in New York and was a resident psychiatrist at Mount Sinai Medical School Program at Elmhurst Hospital Center in New York. Dr. Mehta has also completed his residency training in otolaryngology in the United Kingdom and received his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Gujarat University in India.
