James Farley is a highly experienced Principal Engineer with over two decades in the technology sector, specializing in software development and architecture. Currently employed at Cars Commerce since August 2012, James has played a pivotal role in implementing DataDog as a monitoring tool and enhancing system health visibility. Prior to this, James worked at DealerRater, contributing to its status as a leader in the Automotive Reputation space before its acquisition by Cars Commerce. Additionally, James re-architected legacy systems at IntraLinks, Inc. to modern frameworks, and has held software engineering roles at Student Advantage, ChannelWave Software, and CMGI, focusing on database optimization and custom software solutions. James holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer and Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
