Pedro-Juan Ferrer Matoses

Pedro-Juan Ferrer Matoses has been working in the GIS field since 2005. From 2005 to 2018, they worked at various companies in roles such as GIS Team Leader/GIS Analyst, Project Manager, Chief Operating Officer, and PMO Member & Project Manager. In 2018, they began working at Geographica as a GIS Analyst and Data Scientist, and Project Manager. In 2019, they became a Principal GIS Developer at CARTO. Additionally, they have been a Charter Member and Spanish Local Chapter Liaisson Officer at the Open Source Geospatial Foundation (OSGeo) since 2008, and a Volunteer at the PMI Valencia Chapter since 2013.

Pedro-Juan Ferrer Matoses has a Bachelor's degree in Cartography, GIS, and Geodesy from the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) obtained in 2004. Pedro-Juan also holds a Technical Engineering degree in Surveying, GIS, and Cartography from UPV, obtained in 1999. In 2013, they earned an Executive Master in Project Management from the University of Valencia. Pedro-Juan has also obtained three additional certifications: a Certificate in Advanced English from Cambridge English Language Assessment in 2015, a Project Management Professional (PMP)® from the Project Management Institute (PMI) in 2013, and a PRINCE2® Practitioner Qualification from AXELOS Global Best Practice in 2014.
