Pierre Mercatoris

Pierre Mercatoris has over eight years of work experience in the data science and software development fields. In 2021, they began working as a Data Engineer at CARTO. From 2018-2021, they worked at Minsait as a Senior Data Scientist and Data Scientist. In 2017, they were a Data Scientist in Quantitative Finance at EtsFactory. From 2014-2017, they worked at the University of Stirling as a Research Assistant in Remote Sensing and Statistics and GIS Teaching Assistant. In 2013, they worked as a Software Developer at the Scottish Environment Protection Agency. Lastly, in 2012, they worked as a Research Assistant in Dendroecology at the British Ecological Society.

Pierre Mercatoris has an extensive education history. Pierre attended Cardijn Lorraine from 2001 to 2007 and obtained their high school degree. Pierre then attended the University of Luxembourg from 2007 to 2009 and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. In 2010, they enrolled at the University of Stirling and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Environmental Science in 2014. In 2016, they attended Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and earned an MSc in Big Data Analytics in 2017. In 2020, they obtained two additional certifications from Coursera: Google Cloud Platform Big Data and Machine Learning Fundamentals and Modernizing Data Lakes and Data Warehouses with GCP.
