Victor Velarde Gutierrez

Victor Velarde Gutierrez has held various GIS related roles since 2001. Theirfirst role was as a GIS Programmer for Habitania, where they were responsible for programming and data cleansing for the Habitania Platform, a Real Estate management software. In 2002, they took on a GIS Programmer role at Agencia de Desarrollo Local Ayuntamiento de Torrelavega, where they were responsible for requirements analysis, design and programming for the UGES Project, a Geomarketing system for the local administration. In 2004, they held GIS Analyst-Programmer roles at TEKEL and GESINTE. At TEKEL, they were responsible for requirements analysis, design and GIS programming, as well as integration of several webservices platforms. At GESINTE, they were responsible for GIS programming. In 2005, they held a GIS Analyst-Programmer role at Builder Informática, where they were responsible for requirements analysis, design and GIS programming, as well as development of CAD-GIS import/export programs from MS-Access/Microstation to SQL-Server/Geomedia for the PCGP Project. In 2007, they held a GIS Analyst role at Indra, where they were responsible for requirements analysis, object-oriented design and GIS programming, as well as geodatabase modelling. Victor also held a Web GIS Developer role at IH Cantabria - Universidad de Cantabria. From 2010 to 2018, they held GIS Lecturer roles at Universidad de Cantabria and UOC, where they were responsible for teaching the subject "Development of WebGIS Applications with OpenLayers". In 2018, they held Frontend Engineer and Frontend Tech Lead/Manager roles at CARTO.

Victor Velarde Gutierrez has an education history that includes a Bachelor's degree in Technical Engineering in Computer systems from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, a Master's Degree in GIS from Instituto Cibernos, and a Licenciado in Geografía from Universidad de Cantabria. Theireducation history spans from 1995 to 2009.
