Zachary Walker has held various roles in the tech industry since 2010. Zachary started as the Director of Content and Cartography at NabeWise Media in 2010, where they developed new city rollout processes and mapping theories relating to how NabeWise represents various styles of neighborhoods. In 2012, NabeWise was acquired by Airbnb, and Walker joined the company as a Cartographer and Researcher. During their time at Airbnb, they built the neighborhood database for the Neighborhoods application, contributed to the product's design, managed a team of contract cartographers, and did cartographic and data visualization work for various departments across the company. In 2015, they joined the Policy Research team and focused on cartography, data visualization, and data analysis to help policy makers all over the world understand Airbnb's impact on their cities. In 2018, Walker was a Technical Consultant at the National Democratic Redistricting Committee. In 2019, they were a Graduate Research Fellow at the Taconic Fellowship. Most recently, in 2020, they were the Co-Founder & Chief Product Officer at Ask Iggy, Inc. and is currently a Solutions Engineer at CARTO.

Zachary Walker attended the University of Colorado from 2004 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in English. Zachary then went on to attend the Pratt Institute from 2018 to 2020, where they earned a Master of Science in Data Analysis and Visualization.
