Eugene Chernyi has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several industries and roles. In 1997, they worked as a Software Team Leader at Cimatron, where they contributed to the conceptual design of API for a CAD/CAM application and implemented infrastructure services. From 1999 to 2002, at a Start Up company, Chernyi served as a Software Team Leader and System Architect, supervising a team of programmers and creating an architecture model for the company's next-generation product. Eugene also led the design and implementation of data mining projects and development applications.
In 2002, Chernyi joined Comverse as a Senior Software Developer, where they designed and developed a billing application and improved its functionality and performance using Rational tools. From 2004 to 2009, at Applied Materials, they worked as a Senior Software Developer and contributed to the design, implementation, and support of features in a wafer inspection and image processing application. Chernyi also developed an OPC application for wafer scanning recipe creation and verification.
Starting in 2009, Chernyi worked as a Senior Software Developer at Universal Ad, where they continued to contribute to software development projects. In 2010, at Fuga Technologies, they took on the role of R&D Manager and managed the product creation process and software design and development based on Adobe InDesign SDK architecture.
From 2011 to 2013, Chernyi was a Development Expert at Amdocs, and in 2013, they joined the National Bank of Canada as an Associate, Quantitative R&D in the Derivatives department. Here, they created an application for live and historical currency exchange rates and developed a system for building dependencies graphs and automatic builds.
In 2014, Chernyi joined John Wiley and Sons, SimBioSys department, as a Senior Software Developer in ARChem & ChemPlanner Project until 2017. Then, in 2017, they became an Independent Contractor in the ChemPlanner & SciFinder Project. Finally, they joined CAS in 2020 as the Research Development Lead in the ChemPlanner Project.
Eugene Chernyi's education history starts in 1987 when they attended Peter the Great St.Petersburg Polytechnic University for Applied Mathematics, where they studied until 1990. From 1991 to 1995, they attended Tel Aviv University, focusing on Mathematics and Computer Science without completing a degree. In 2001, they enrolled in Mercy College, New York, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science in 2002.
