Eva Sumano

Education Manager at CASA DE MARYLAND

As a first-generation Mexican-American student who went through the public education system, Eva Sumano, M.Ed., found her passion in education equity and serves as CASA’s education manager. She was a Spanish educator for the City of Baltimore, teaching over 250 students and connecting with their families. Her journey to fight for social justice began while working for Catholic Charities as community organizer in Central New Jersey. She graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Spanish and a Master of Science in Education.
