Alex Hu has a strong background in manufacturing and automation. Alex began their career at UNSW as a Casual Research Assistant in 2008. In 2012, they became a Research Assistant and worked there until 2013. Alex then joined NetComm Wireless, where they held various roles, including Software/Production Automation Engineer and later, Production Automation Team Leader. At NetComm Wireless, they were responsible for developing automation systems and improving product quality and efficiency. In 2017, Alex moved to Casa Systems, Inc., where they served as the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and later, the Senior Production Manager. In these positions, they oversaw manufacturing activities, led cross-functional teams, and implemented strategies for production automation and continuous improvement. Alex's roles at both NetComm Wireless and Casa Systems involved collaborating with global teams across multiple regions, including Australia, USA, China, Taiwan, and Malaysia.
Alex Hu completed a Green Belt certificate in Lean Six Sigma from Comprehensive Business Improvement Solutions in 2019. Alex obtained a Graduate Certificate in Management from the Australian Institute of Management starting in 2017. In 2016, they completed a Diploma Short Course in People Management at the Australian Institute of Management. Alex earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Signal Processing from UNSW from 2009 to 2012. Alex Hu's earliest education was a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Telecommunications Engineering from Beihang University, which they completed from 2000 to 2004.
