Tarja Tanskanen has extensive work experience in various administrative and logistical roles. Tarja started their career as an Administrative Assistant at the Finnish Foreign Trade Association, where they were responsible for financial administration and coordination. Tarja then worked as a Legal Secretary at Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners before joining Nokia Networks in 1997. At Nokia Networks, they held several positions over a five-year period.

In 2002, Tarja joined Nokia Corporation as a Legal Assistant and Training Coordinator. Tarja then pursued a vocational qualification in business and administration from 1988 to 1990, specializing in office administration.
