The Associate Brand Manager for the Goalie category is responsible for the creation and commercialization of the category plan for the current and following seasons, including attaining volume, profit, margin dollars and share. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align and execute the seasonal category plans and drive category go-to-market strategy and planning for both new and existing products. The Associate Brand Manager will manage category P&L’s and portfolio P&L’s across product and marketing.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Work with cross functional teams to execute the seasonal product plans for Goalie product, including sales, marketing, product development, Logistics & Supply and Demand.
  • Manage product through entire process ensuring strategy in line with strategic plan.
  • Assist Category Director in creating 3-year category strategy, innovation road map and marketing objectives.
  • Provide overall direction to Category Launch Team regarding product development, sales, and marketing, and operational and sports marketing.
  • Analyze consumer research and insights, brand tracking data, sales information, and projections to develop and execute marketing plans.
  • Confirm that all functional solutions meet the strategic guidelines set in the seasonal category objectives.
  • Lead and participate in category launch team meetings.
  • Manage day-to-day activities of the Category Launch Team to keep the process running smoothly.
  • Attend and contribute to monthly Category Team meetings.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and development for the cross functional team.
  • Attend and participate in bi-annual sales meetings and partner summits.

Qualifications:

  • BS or BA in Business or related field- or equivalent years of relevant and related experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a corporate setting with brand management, strategic and analytical capabilities.
  • Knowledge or significant interest in goaltending/goal equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate and monitor goals and objectives for a cross functional team.
  • Strong communication skills (written/verbal), including demonstrated ability to deliver effective presentations.
  • Excellent information seeking skills and detail oriented with ability to seek creative viable solutions to any given situation.
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a diverse group and fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Adjust quickly to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Travel as needed and/or required by essential job functions.
