Guna Appalaraju has extensive work experience in finance and systems management. Guna started their career at Mast Industries in 1985, working as a Programmer Analyst and gradually moving up to roles such as Manager of Applied Technology and Manager of Global Systems Quality. In 1998, they joined MAS Holdings / Slimline as a Manager for an SAP ERP Project. In 1999, they worked at The Limited, Inc. as a Manager of Applications. In 2001, they joined The Stanley Works, where they held various managerial and directorial positions in enterprise and corporate solutions. Guna also served as the CXO Advisor at Business-Technology Strategy & Execution from 2011 to 2015. In 2010, they joined Stanley Black & Decker, Inc., where they worked as a Technical Director for global financial consolidations and reporting and later became the Finance Transformation Technical Director. Finally, they joined Casella Waste Systems, Inc. in 2015 as the Vice President of Financial Systems and later held the same role at Casella Resource Solutions.

Guna Appalaraju has a Master's Degree in Information Systems with a minor in Finance from Northeastern University, achieved in 1989. Guna also has education experience from Harvard University in Strategic Business Management, completed in 2015. Guna holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Industrial Engineering and Management Science from the Indian Institute of Management Mumbai. Additionally, they have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Madras. Guna has obtained certifications such as Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute in January 2005, as well as certifications related to SAP including SAP Apparel & Footwear Solution - Materials Management & Production Planning and SAP Partner Academy - Sales & Distribution.
