Security Engineer, Cloud Security

We are seeking an experienced Security Engineer to act as a subject matter in all things hybrid cloud security. This individual will act as liaison between our Cloud Operations, Security Architect, and our offensive security team ensuring our cloud environments are following and maintaining industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with cloud operations to design and implement security controls into all architectural decisions in the cloud.
• Understand the complexities of Identity and Access management within multiple hybrid cloud environments including a solid foundation in SSO and permission definitions.
• Implement data security strategies within multiple cloud environments.
• Act as an authority on best practices to maintain cloud firewalls, cloud-native eventing platforms.
• Manage security services as part of detect and response, collaborating with incident response to investigate and mitigate security events.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to cloud security policies, strategies, and configurations.
• Stay up-to-date with latest cloud security developments, threats, technologies, and trends.
• Validate cloud infrastructure and application designs against security best practices and compliance requirements, including evidence collection.

Qualifications and Skills:

• 5+ years of experience of cloud computing technologies and environments, including familiarity with the big three cloud providers (GCP, Azure, AWS)
• Strong understanding of network security and protocols, including experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
• Experience with SIEM, vulnerability management, endpoint detection, email, and DLP solutions.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision making abilities, including negotiating between Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability and their trade-offs.

Relevant Certification Experience:

• Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) or Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK).
• AWS Certified Security Speciality, AWS Solutions Architect, or AWS DevOps Engineer.
• Azure Security Engineer, a plus.
