G-Yoon Jamie Im

G-Yoon Jamie Im has over 11 years of experience in the medicinal chemistry field. In 2021, they began their current role as Director of Medicinal Chemistry at Casma Therapeutics. Prior to that, they were Associate Director of Medicinal Chemistry at HotSpot Therapeutics, Inc. from 2018-2021. From 2010-2018, they were a Principal Investigator at Ironwood Pharmaceuticals. From 2008-2010, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at UCLA where they elucidated the origins of selectivity observed in heterocyclic aryne reactions in collaboration with the Houk group, investigated novel reactions of pi-allyl palladium species in the synthesis of diphenylhexatrienes and congested vicinal stereocenters, and worked under the advisement of Professor Neil K.

G-Yoon Jamie Im obtained a B.S. with special attainments in Chemistry from Washington and Lee University between 1998 and 2002, majoring in Chemistry and Mathematics. Following this, they obtained a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles between 2002 and 2007.
