Michael Whiteside has a diverse work experience in the field of 3D modeling and game art. Michael started their career as a 3D Modeler at The Topps Company in 2015 and later worked at Kour Pour Studios in 2016. In 2017, they served as a Zbrush Teacher Assistant at Otis College of Art and Design.

Michael then joined SCPS in 2019 as a 3D Modeler, where they created various fruit models and sculpted props for films. In the same year, they worked as a 3D Modeler at Jazwares, LLC, where they sculpted Pokemon characters and modeled action figures.

In 2021, Michael became a 3D Visualization Artist at Funko, where they textured and rendered toys, created materials for an NFT project, and optimized sculpts for the POP Yourself App. Michael continued to work at Funko until 2022, during which they worked on the GenX Avatar project as a 3D Character Artist at House of Kibaa, where they handled the PBR pipeline for character creation.

Currently, Michael is employed as a Game Artist at Cat Daddy Games since 2023.

Michael Whiteside's education history begins in 2014 when they enrolled in Otis College of Art and Design. Michael pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in VFX and Video Game Design, completing their studies in 2018. In 2018, they attended the Gnomon School of Visual Effects, Games + Animation for a brief period to focus on Character Art and Creature Design. In 2021, Michael furthered their education by attending CG Master Academy to specialize in Character Facial Sculpting. No specific degree was mentioned for this program.
