Jesse Boyd

Jesse Boyd has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Starting with their most recent role, they served as the Group VP Finance - Catalent Biologics at Catalent Pharma Solutions since 2023. Prior to that, they were the VP Finance, Cell, Gene, and Protein Therapies at the same company from 2022 to 2023.

Before joining Catalent, Jesse worked at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where they held various senior director positions. These include Senior Director, Global Commercial Finance from 2020 to 2022, Senior Director, Global Business Management from 2018 to 2020, Senior Director of Sterile Operations - Business Unit Leader from 2016 to 2018, and Senior Director of Finance, Site Financial Leader from 2015 to 2016.

Jesse's early career includes roles at Eli Lilly and Company, where they served as a Finance Director with responsibilities ranging from corporate finance investment banking to financial control of manufacturing sites. Jesse also worked as a Financial Director in sales and marketing, a Financial Analyst in research and development, and a Responsible Engineer in bioprocessing.

Before their career in the private sector, Jesse served in the United States Navy as an Officer in the Submarine Squadron Six from 1991 to 2001.

Jesse Boyd completed a Chief Financial Officer Program from Columbia Business School in 2022-2023. Prior to that, they obtained an MBA in Finance from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business from 2001 to 2004. They also received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University from 1994 to 1997. Jesse Boyd further earned an MS in Accounting, CPA from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business from 2006 to 2008. In terms of certifications, they have obtained the titles of Certified Public Accountant from various institutions, including the Maryland Department of Labor, the North Carolina State Board of CPA Examiners, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Jesse Boyd also completed the Emeritus: Senior Executive Program: Chief Financial Officer from Columbia Business School Executive Education in 2023.
