Laura Douglas

Laura Douglas has a variety of work experience in the scientific field. Laura is currently employed at Catalent Pharma Solutions as a Team Lead/Lead Scientist since November 2017. Before that, they worked as a Scientist at the same company from July 2016 to November 2017, and as a Contract Scientist from October 2015 to July 2016. At Catalent, Laura performs data and report review, testing of GMP drug substance, and supervises a team of 8+ members.

Prior to their current role, Laura worked at RTI International from December 2009 to January 2015 as a Chemist II in Catalyst and Materials Development. Laura also worked as a Chemist I from July 2010 to May 2012 and as a Contract Chemist from December 2009 to July 2010. During their time at RTI International, Laura played critical roles in multiple ongoing projects and labs, with achievements including meeting tight product development deadlines and introducing cost-cutting measures.

Laura's earlier work experience includes a role as a Project Assistant at Asymchem Laboratories from February 2008 to September 2009, and as a Quality Control Chemist I at Barr Laboratories from January 2007 to August 2007.

Additionally, Laura has experience at North Carolina State University, where they worked as a Stockroom Interim Supervisor from May 2006 to December 2006, an Organic Chemistry Teaching Assistant & Tutor from January 2006 to December 2006, and a Summer Research Assistant from May 2006 to August 2006.

Laura began their career as an IT Help Desk Associate at Guilford College from August 2002 to May 2003.

Laura Douglas completed their B.S in Chemistry from North Carolina State University in the years 2003-2006. Prior to that, they attended the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics from 2000-2002 to complete their high school education.
