Romina Dawson-Hall

Romina Dawson-Hall has extensive experience in human resources, holding various leadership positions across different companies. Romina is currently serving as the Global Human Resources Director at Catalina Re since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Human Resources Director at Advent International from October 2020 to March 2022 and as the Interim Head of Human Resources - Europe & India from January 2020 to October 2021.

Earlier in their career, Romina held the role of Group Head of Human Resources at John Laing from January 2016 to August 2019. Romina built and led a lean HR function with a focus on organizational redesign, learning and development programs, sourcing and selection processes, and diversity and inclusion strategies.

Before that, they worked as the Human Resources Manager and Office Manager - Europe & Asia at Davidson Kempner European Partners from July 2014 to December 2015, where they developed and implemented HR functions for non-US offices.

Romina's experience also includes serving as the Global Head of Human Resources at Lombard Odier Group from 2011 to 2013 and as the Director of Human Resources - Europe & Asia at Millennium Capital Partners LLP from 2008 to 2011. Romina spearheaded major transformations, optimized HR capabilities, and implemented right-sizing programs.

Prior to that, they worked at HSBC in various HR roles. Romina served as the Head of HR - Global Transaction Banking from January 2007 to 2008, where they led reward and employee relations matters and directed large-scale business change. Romina was also the HR Manager for Global Transaction Banking, Brokerage, and Premier Banking from October 2005 to January 2007, providing expert HR consultancy services. Additionally, they held the role of HR Manager - Global Transaction Banking from April 2004 to October 2005, contributing to HR strategy and operations during a period of significant business growth.

Romina started their HR career as an HR Generalist and HR Officer at Swiss Re Capital Management and Advisory, where they established an HR function and provided employee lifecycle management and generalist support.

Romina Dawson-Hall completed a Postgraduate degree in Human Resources Strategy from London Metropolitan University between 2001 and 2003. Subsequently, they pursued an MSc degree in International Human Resources Management from Cranfield School of Management during the year 2009 to 2010.
