Luis Cruz

Luis Cruz, PMP has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Luis started their career as a Software Engineer at Motorola TTPCom Product Group in 1998, where they led a team of engineers in performing root-cause analysis on problem reports, resulting in a reduction in defects and problem reports in subsequent software releases.

In 2000, Luis joined Motorola Solutions as a Senior Software Engineer, where they developed design and code solutions for critical problem reports and enhanced various SMS features. Luis then moved to Motorola Mobile Devices in 2004 and took on roles such as Senior Integration Engineer, Software Integration Manager, and Senior Software Platform Manager. In these roles, they executed software integration builds, managed build schedules, and led teams of software developers, quality assurance agents, and test engineers.

In 2009, Luis founded Good Visual Studios, a technology and digital marketing company, where they served as the President and Principal/Program Manager. Luis spearheaded the establishment of the business, developed company protocols and processes, and served as a senior project manager for enterprise-level projects.

Following their entrepreneurial venture, Luis joined TekServPOS in 2011 as a Senior Program Manager. Luis then joined CATALIS in 2012 as the Director of SAAS Implementations, Customer and Software Support, and PMO for Unemployment Insurance.

Throughout their career, Luis has demonstrated strong leadership skills, project management expertise, and the ability to streamline processes and improve productivity. Their experience spans across various industries and roles, making him a versatile and well-rounded professional.

Luis Cruz, PMP is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, with an expected completion in 2024. Luis previously obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the same university. Additionally, Luis has completed the Chicago Latino Caucus Leadership Program in the 2022 cohort and participated in the Metropolitan Leadership Institute in the 2009 cohort. Luis holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, which they obtained in 2012.
