Jessica Marucci

Jessica Marucci is currently the VP of People & Places at Catalyst Software. Prior to that, they were the Director of Employee Experience at DigitalOcean from October 2011 to May 2019. In that role, they were responsible for managing an Employee Experience team, Office Experience Team, Executive Assistants, and Team of Senior PBPs. Jessica also cultivated a culture of feedback and inclusivity, served as a full-time HRBP mediating conversations, coaching management teams, and removing roadblocks as necessary. Jessica developed and orchestrated DigitalOcean's onboarding process and ensured that employees were brought up to speed from day 1. Jessica also built a remote culture where everyone was treated equally and employees felt taken care of both near and far. Jessica was responsible for ownership of the overhead budget, which included (but was not limited to) all office meals, office supply inventory, office technology, dues & subscriptions, corporate events, and keeping the kitchens fully stocked with beverages and snacks. Jessica also oversaw DigitalOcean's HQ facility, Cambridge Office, multiple WeWork locations, and 3 corporate apartments. Jessica conducted semi-annual engagement surveys and managed leader driven action planning from data received. Jessica also organized events to promote company culture on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. Finally, they created and executed on multiple internal education endeavors and managed multiple construction projects totaling over $8m+.

Jessica Marucci reports to Edward Chiu, Co-Founder & CEO. They work with Sha Ma - VP, Engineering, Jon White - VP, Product, and Kevin Chiu - Co-Founder & COO.
