Lisa Evans

Lisa Evans has extensive experience in community development and leadership within the public sector, currently serving as Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Children and Young People at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council since April 2015. Responsibilities include overseeing social care assessment, youth support, and educational needs. Additionally, Lisa has worked as a Community Development Worker for Catalyst Stockton, and held various roles with labor unions, including Lead Learning Organiser for the RMT and Local Organiser for Unison. Previous experience also includes teaching at Sunderland College and involvement in several other educational and organizational positions. Lisa's educational background features multiple qualifications in teaching, advice and guidance, mentoring, and counseling, equipping their with a diverse skill set for supporting and empowering communities.
