Lead, Platform at Catch

Alvin Ohlenbusch is the current Lead for Platform at Catch. Prior to this, they were the Manager of Enterprise Architecture at Thomson Reuters from January 2000 to July 2017. In this role, they oversaw projects, including TRF updates, Street Events, ownership, filings, and Stargazer. Alvin also made recommendations on tools, systems, storage, and database. Under their leadership, the time to delivery was reduced and reliability was improved by ensuring project delivery of complex systems that were scalable, highly available, cost effective, timely, and supportable. Furthermore, they coordinated communication between development groups and technical operations groups, guaranteeing proper hardware, networking, security, and storage to meet business needs. Lastly, they were able to reduce operating cost and improve supportability by ensuring compliance with company technology standards in regards to hardware, software, database, security, open source, and storage.

Before working at Thomson Reuters, Alvin Ohlenbusch was the Director of Software Development at Thomson Financial from January 1999 to December 2000.

Alvin Ohlenbusch graduated with a BS in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Alvin then went on to work in the field of computer science.
