Jeremy Branstad

Director, Application Engineering at Catchlight

Jeremy Branstad has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Jeremy started their career in 2004 as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician, QA Inspector, and Shift Supervisor at Patrol Squadron Nine (USN). Jeremy then transitioned into the education field, working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Boise State University from 2009 to 2011 and later as an Adjunct Professor of English at the same institution in 2011 and 2012.

In 2015, Jeremy joined Cazena as a Software QA Engineer before moving on to work at Ovia Health as a Front End Engineer from 2016 to 2018. During their time at Ovia Health, they built Angular 2+ / Typescript single-page applications and introduced unit and end-to-end testing practices to the front end applications.

Jeremy then joined PaymentWorks in 2018 as a Software Engineer, contributing to the development of an invoicing and identity management system. Jeremy modernized front-end tooling and introduced page objects to improve the reliability of their Selenium-based end-to-end test suite.

In 2018, Jeremy also joined Yesware as a Software Engineer, where they worked until 2020. Following this, they joined Fidelity Investments, initially as a Senior Software Engineer from 2020 to 2022, then transitioning into the role of Lead Software Engineer. Jeremy also served as Director of Application Engineering at Fidelity Investments from 2022 to the present.

Currently, Jeremy is employed at Catchlight as the Director of Application Engineering, a role they took on in 2022.

Jeremy Branstad has a Master of Arts degree in English, with a specialization in Rhetoric and Composition from Boise State University. Jeremy completed their Master's program from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Chaminade University of Honolulu between 2005 and 2009. In 2014, Jeremy completed coursework in Computer Science at North Shore Community College. In 2015, they also attended The Startup Institute as a Web Development Student.
