Robert Amar is an accomplished educator and software developer with extensive experience in mathematics, science, and music instruction. As the Upper School Math Department Chair at The Lovett School since July 2014, Robert has successfully fostered an inclusive learning environment and transitioned the school to hybrid and virtual settings during the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition to teaching and mentoring Advanced Placement students, Robert has also contributed to the development of Stapplet.com, a web-based software that supports statistical learning for over 600,000 users globally. With a strong background in music, Robert has served as Staff Accompanist at the Cathedral of Christ the King and previously taught at Blessed Trinity Catholic High School, where notable achievements included winning the Shuler Hensley award for music direction. Robert's educational credentials include a former Ph.D. in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology and degrees in Chemistry and Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis.
