Charles Hayes

Charles Hayes has over 30 years of experience in marketing and communications. Charles is currently the Chief Development Officer at Catholic Charities of Buffalo since 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President of Marketing & Communications at Elderwood from 2018 to 2023. From 2005 to 2018, they were the Director of Marketing & Communications at Catholic Health System, where they led internal communications strategies for large-scale transformational initiatives. Before that, they worked as the Director of Client Services at Carr Marketing Communications, managing multiple client accounts and generating significant revenue. From 1999 to 2002, they held the position of Director of Marketing & Communications at Vitex, Inc., focusing on enhancing brand and market position in the banking industry. Charles started their career at Merchants Insurance Group as the Manager of Marketing Communications, where they expanded the scope of the position and implemented various marketing and public relations programs.

Charles Hayes obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism & Mass Communication / Philosophy from St. Bonaventure University between the years 1984 and 1988.
