Alan Cooper

Alan Cooper, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and organizations. Alan is currently working at Adelphi University as an Associate Professor of Management and also serves as the Associate Dean at the Willumstad School of Business. Alan is responsible for the leadership and academic development of the school.

Previously, Dr. Cooper held the position of Chief Performance Officer at Catholic Health, where they played a crucial role in enhancing organizational performance. Prior to that, they served as the President of Tudor Advisory Group, contributing their expertise in various business areas.

Dr. Cooper's career also includes a role as the Chief People & Performance Officer at White Plains Hospital, where they focused on improving employee engagement and organizational culture. Alan has also served as the Associate Dean of Knowledge Management and Associate Professor at Hofstra North Shore - LIJ School of Medicine.

Earlier in their career, Dr. Cooper held significant positions at North Shore LIJ Health System, including Vice President of the Center for Learning and Innovation and Administrative Director of Emergency Medical Services. At Hofstra University and Adelphi University, they worked as an Adjunct Associate Professor and Adjunct Instructor, respectively.

Alan Cooper, Ph.D. has a diverse education history. Alan obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Experimental Psychology from Adelphi University from 1991 to 1995. Alan then pursued a Master's Degree in Education from the University of Cincinnati from 2011 to 2016. Prior to that, they earned an MBA in Management/Finance from Adelphi University from 2000 to 2003. Alan Cooper started their educational journey by completing their B.A. in Psychology from Hofstra University from 1982 to 1986. Additionally, they hold an IBM Data Science Practitioner - Instructor Certificate obtained in 2021 from IBM.
