Donor Engagement Officer

As a key contributor in Catholic Social Services of Washtenaw County’s Development program, the Donor Engagement Officer drives development efforts by fostering positive donor relationships through accurate donor management and record keeping, high quality communication with donors and community partners, and leadership of engaging donor and stakeholder events.  This team member will collaborate with and support the Director of Development and the President and CEO on all CSSW fundraising and development activities.  In addition to maintaining and enhancing existing donor relationships, the Donor Engagement Officer assists in cultivating and forging relationships with new donors, local Parishes, community partners, and other key stakeholders to increase the Agency’s visibility and financial resources.

Relevant education or credentials strongly preferred in Philanthropy, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or similar field. A minimum of three years successful philanthropy and community relations with emphasis on communications, community relations, event planning, and grant writing, preferably in a philanthropy or human service organization required.

 Other requirements include but are not limited to;

• Exceptional Verbal and written business communication skills, interpersonal skills
• Effective public speaking skills
• Experience with using social media platforms
• Strong technological skills, especially internet related platforms including donor database proficiency (DonorPerfect).

Total compensation includes mileage reimbursement, comprehensive benefit plan with employer contribution, 401k retirement option, plus paid time off with paid holiday schedule that includes the week between Christmas and New Year’s.
