Mark Macchia PharmD has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Mark started their career at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in 2000, where they served as the Assistant VP for Ambulatory Care and Managed Care until 2005. Mark then worked at St. John's Queens Hospital as the Director of Pharmacy in 2006, before joining Nassau University Medical Center as a Pharmacy Administrator from 2007 to 2009.
In 2009, Mark Macchia joined Catholic Health Services, where they held various roles over the years. Mark initially served as the Associate Director of Pharmaceutical Services from 2009 to 2018. Later, they were promoted to the position of Director of Pharmacy, a role they held from 2018 to 2021. Currently, Mark Macchia is continuing their work as the Director of Pharmacy at Catholic Health Services.
Mark Macchia PharmD has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Pharmacy from St. John's University. Mark also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Management from the same institution. Mark further pursued their education at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, where they obtained a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree. Additionally, they have a certification in Six Sigma Green Belt, earned in 2011.
