Sonya Shields

Sonya Shields is an experienced professional who currently serves as the Executive Director and President of Cause Effective. Sonya has a background in public relations and has held various leadership roles in nonprofit organizations such as Senior Associate at Cause Effective, Chief Operating Officer at Getting Out and Staying Out, and Senior Vice President of Organizational Development at Children of Promise, NYC. Sonya is also involved in various boards such as the Association of Fundraising Professionals - New York City Chapter, American LGBTQ Museum, and Community of Unity. Sonya is dedicated to promoting gender inclusivity and social justice through their work with organizations like Gender & Family Project and Third Wave Foundation.
