Jacqui Stuart has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Jacqui started their career in 2010 as a Pre-press Designer at GEON print & communications solutions. In 2012, they worked as a Junior Designer at Designworks Ltd before becoming a Divemaster at Subway Watersports in 2013. Later that year, they joined Resn as a Designer and also worked as a Designer at Fairfax Digital in 2015. In 2015, they moved to Heyday Digital as a Designer and then transitioned to James Cook University as a Scientific Diver, where they focused on specimen collection and data monitoring. In 2017, Jacqui joined OracleStudio as a Web Designer & Illustrator and also started their own design and illustration venture as a freelance artist. Most recently, they worked as a Research Assistant at Cawthron Institute starting in 2019.
Jacqui Stuart has a strong educational background in the field of marine biology and ecology. In 2011, they obtained a Bachelor of Computer Graphic Design from the Whanganui School of Design. Continuing their studies, they enrolled at James Cook University in 2017 and completed a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology and Ecology. Building upon their bachelor's degree, Jacqui pursued further education at James Cook University, where they obtained a Master of Science with High Distinction in Marine Biology and Ecology in 2019. Additionally, they hold a certification as an Open Water Scuba Instructor from PADI, obtained in April 2014.
