Ricardo Smith is an accomplished Manager of Research and Digital Marketing Strategy at the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism, with a career spanning from April 2015 to the present. Previously, Ricardo served as the acting Ebusiness and Research Manager, where leadership was provided to a team focused on marketing effectiveness, and as a Research Analyst responsible for generating strategic insights that bolstered global brand awareness and increased visitor arrivals. Before joining the Department of Tourism, Ricardo was a Senior Statistician at the Statistical Institute of Jamaica for nearly nine years, specializing in the compilation of economic data, GDP estimation, and the establishment of new statistical programs. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Analytics from Villanova University, a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Accounting from The University of the West Indies, Mona, and additional studies at the University of Michigan.
