Edison Tenecela

Edison Tenecela is a dedicated medical student at Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University, expected to graduate with a Doctor of Medicine degree in May 2026. Concurrently, Edison performs as a Diabetes and Endocrinology Medical Assistant at Cayuga Medical Associates, PC, where responsibilities include gathering patient medical histories and conducting point-of-care HbA1c testing. As a COVID-19 Laboratory Technician at Cayuga Medical Center at Ithaca, Edison processes and analyzes samples from various collection centers across New York State. Additionally, Edison serves as a Spanish Medical Interpreter for Empire Interpreting Service, facilitating communication between healthcare providers and patients with limited English proficiency. Previous experience includes a research internship at the University of Rochester, multicultural healthcare exposure, and tutoring in math and science. Educational background comprises a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Rochester and an Associate of Science in Math and Science from Rockland Community College.
