Edwin Murenzi

Senior Account Executive - Healthcare at Cayuse

Edwin Murenzi has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Edwin began their career as a Computer Technician at University Computer Labs in 2007. From 2010 to 2011, they served as an Associate Editor for IMPULSE-An Undergraduate Journal of Neuroscience.

In 2007, Edwin also started working as a Vice President of the Student Government Association at Salve Regina University, where they studied Biology and Chemistry as an undergraduate. During this time, they also conducted research on the effects of pyrethroid insecticides on the human T-type Voltage Sensitive Calcium Channel.

In 2011, they joined the University of Massachusetts Amherst as a Departmental & Research Assistant, focusing on the effects of pesticides on synaptasomes and lice-borne diseases. Edwin continued their education at the university, completing a Masters in Molecular and Cellular Biology in 2014, followed by a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from 2014 to 2020.

In 2020, Edwin worked as a STEM Lab Instructor at Hartford Youth Scholars, teaching science and math to gifted middle and high school students. Edwin also worked as a Sales/Implementation Specialist and Business Development & Implementation Specialist at iMedRIS Data Corporation from 2020 to 2022.

Currently, Edwin is employed at Cayuse LLC, where they have held two roles. Edwin started as a Business Development and Implementation Specialist from 2021 to 2022 and currently serves as an Account Executive, working with prestigious research institutions to achieve customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives.

Edwin Murenzi holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology, which they attained from the University of Massachusetts Amherst between 2012 and 2014. Prior to their master's degree, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry at Salve Regina University from 2007 to 2011.
