Michael Kaplan is an experienced investigative producer currently working at CBS News since June 2019. Prior to this role, Kaplan served as a producer at CNN from February 2018 to May 2019, where responsibilities included conceiving and producing international news packages and investigative reports. Kaplan has a strong background in investigative journalism, having worked as an associate producer and co-producer for CBS News’s 60 Minutes from 2012 to 2017, where significant contributions included research and high-profile interviews. Additional experience includes freelance work with The New York Times and internships at multiple media organizations, including Business Insider and Fast Company. Kaplan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and History from Northwestern University, earned between 2008 and 2012.
