Amber Sligar

Amber Sligar is a seasoned professional in health and program management with a diverse background spanning over a decade. Currently serving as a Technical Advisor for Data for Health at the CDC Foundation since June 2019, Amber has also held positions as a Senior Program Officer and Program Officer. Prior experience includes working as a Research Manager and Project Officer at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation from March 2015 to June 2019, and as part of the FDA's Program Evaluation and Process Improvement Staff from July 2010 to March 2015. Additional roles include serving as a Foreign Affairs Officer with the U.S. Department of State in 2012, a Graduate Fellow at The Aspen Institute, and various internships with the American Red Cross, CDC, and the World Health Organization. Amber holds a Master of Public Health in Health Promotion from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Boston University.
