Andi Lipstein Fristedt

Andi Lipstein Fristedt serves as the Deputy Director for Policy, Communications, and Legislative Affairs at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention since 2023. Previously, Lipstein Fristedt held the position of Deputy Commissioner for Policy, Legislation, and International Affairs at the FDA from 2021 to 2023. Experience includes roles such as Deputy Health Policy Director, Senior Health Policy Advisor, and Health Policy Advisor at the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions from 2012 to 2021. Earlier career highlights include serving as a Program Analyst at the CDC, a Graduate Intern/Global Health Fellow at the World Health Organization, and Chief of Staff for State Representative Chris Edwards in the Oregon Legislature. Lipstein Fristedt earned a Master of Public Affairs in Domestic Policy/Health Policy from Princeton University and a Bachelor of Arts in Family and Human Services from the University of Oregon.
