Research Microbiologist- Lead Of Brucellosis Reference Laboratory at CDC

Rebekah Tiller serves as the Lead of the Brucellosis Reference Laboratory at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), where since February 2013, responsibilities have included acting as Associate Director for Laboratory Science in the Division of High Consequence Pathogens and Pathology. Previous experience includes a role as Service Chiefs Fellow at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), and co-leading brucellosis diagnostic testing at the CDC from September 2008 to December 2012. Rebekah Tiller has also held positions as a Research Scientist at Emory University, Technical Assistant for the Ghana Guinea Worm Eradication Program at The Carter Center, and served as a Hygiene and Sanitation Volunteer with the Peace Corps. Educational qualifications include an MPH from Emory University, a Bachelor of Science from Western Carolina University, and ongoing doctoral studies in Public Health at the University of South Florida College of Public Health.
