Sara Tucci-Piergiovanni

Sara Tucci-Piergiovanni started their work experience in 2006 as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Lecturer at "Sapienza"-University of Rome. During this time, they conducted research on failure detection, broadcast communication, data consistency, and peer-to-peer systems. Sara also taught a distributed systems class. In 2009, they became a Research Engineer at Commissariat à l’Energie Atomique et Energies Alternatives - LIST, focusing on model-based methodologies for the development of distributed embedded systems. Sara also led industrial projects on model-based system engineering. From 2015 to 2017, Sara worked as an R&D Manager at CEA LIST, leading a team in blockchain research and technology as well as other projects in robotics and manufacturing. Since 2018, they have been the Head of Laboratory at CEA List, where they conduct research on trustworthy, distributed, intelligent systems with a focus on blockchain technology and industrial partnerships.

Sara Tucci-Piergiovanni obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Engineering from Sapienza Università di Roma in 2001. Sara then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Engineering from the same university, completing it in 2006.
