Mel Nelson

Mel Nelson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in membership and event management across various industries. Currently serving as Director of Membership & Education at CEDA since September 2019, Mel previously held the position of General Manager Membership & Events at the Australian Property Institute, where responsibilities included strategic development of member services and leading a diverse team. Earlier roles included National Business Development Manager at the Australian Institute of Architects and Business Development Manager at AusBiotech Ltd, focusing on corporate partnerships and relationship management. Mel's career also includes operations management at the Australasian Fleet Management Association, along with earlier experience in veterinary and equestrian services. Mel holds an Honours BA in History from McMaster University and a Graduate Certificate in Management from Chifley Business School.
