Amy Therien

Amy Therien has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of human resources. Amy started their career in 1997 as a Supervisor of Recruitment at Paramount's Kings Island. Amy then moved on to Paramount's Great America, where they held various roles including Manager, Director, and VP of Human Resources. In 2006, they joined Cedar Fair Entertainment Company- Kings Island as a Director of Human Resources. Amy later transitioned to First Transit and First Vehicle Services, serving as a Corporate Director of Human Resources before becoming the Senior Director of Human Resources at FirstGroup America. Amy then returned to Cedar Fair Entertainment Company in 2019 as a Human Resources Director, and currently holds the position of Director of Talent Acquisition.

Amy Therien holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Rehabilitation Education from Wright State University. Amy also has additional certifications including Acing Your Strategy: A Human Approach to Successful Business Planning from LinkedIn, a Professional in Human Resources® (PHR®) from HRCI, SHRM-CP from SHRM, and a Professional in Human Resource (PHR) from HR Certification Institute - HRCI. Amy also obtained a Job Placement and Job Development Certificate from Wright State University.
