Adam Shinnick

Adam Shinnick has extensive work experience in human resources, with their most recent role being Vice President of Human Resources at Cedar Fair Entertainment Company starting in October 2022. Prior to that, they were the Senior Director of HR for Field People at sweetgreen from November 2021 to August 2022. Adam also served as the Head of Human Resources at Wavestream from August 2020 to October 2021. Before that, Adam held various roles at Dine Brands Global, Southern California Edison (SCE), Countrywide Financial, Azusa Pacific University, Mole-Richardson Company, and The Walt Disney Company, where they gained experience in leadership training, organizational development, and HR management.

Adam Shinnick has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from the University of California, Berkeley, which they obtained from 1989 to 1992. Adam also holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree from Azusa Pacific University, earned between 2005 and 2007. Additionally, they received a football scholarship at Penn State University from 1988 to 1989. In terms of certifications, they obtained the following: Appreciating Differences (Diversity & Inclusion) from Korn Ferry in 2019, Emotional Intelligence from TalentSmart in 2019, Accountability Builder from Partners In Leadership in 2018, MBTI® & FIRO-B Certified Instructor from The Myers-Briggs Company in 2012, Situational Leadership II (2 day version) from The Ken Blanchard Companies in 2007, and DiSC Behavioral Assessment Instructor from Inscape in 1997.
