Jana Evanger

Jana Evanger, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has extensive experience in the field of Human Resources. Jana has held various leadership roles at Cedar Fair Entertainment Company, including Corporate Director of Human Resources and currently Corporate Director, Human Resources. In these positions, they have been responsible for the development and execution of programs and initiatives related to culture, associate experience, leader and associate engagement, diversity, equity and inclusion, employee and labor relations, and HR compliance. Jana also has experience at Schlitterbahn Waterparks & Resorts, where they served as the Corporate Director of Human Resources, overseeing all HR and payroll functions for multiple locations. Additionally, they have worked at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) as an instructor. Jana's work experience demonstrates their expertise in HR strategy, operations, and employee relations in the entertainment and amusement park industry.

Jana Evanger, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications, Advertising Major from Appalachian State University between 1992 and 1994. Prior to that, they pursued General Studies at the University of North Carolina Wilmington from 1990 to 1992. In terms of certifications, Jana obtained the SPHR certification from HRCI in April 2019, and the SHRM-SCP certification from SHRM in the same month and year. Additionally, they had previously earned the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification from SHRM in April 2015.
