Ty Tastepe

Ty Tastepe has extensive experience in leadership positions within the technology sector. Ty currently serves as the SVP and Chief Information Officer at Cedar Fair Entertainment Company. Prior to this, Ty worked as the SVP and Chief Information and Digital Officer at Altar'd State from 2019 to 2021.

From 2013 to 2019, Ty held various roles at Universal Parks & Resorts, including Senior Vice President of Global Solutions Delivery. During this time, they were responsible for implementing large-scale technology solutions at parks in Orlando, Hollywood, and Osaka. Ty'snotable achievements included receiving the Digital Edge 50 Award in 2019 for the innovative use of facial recognition technology and in 2018 for the development of the world's first fully virtual line-enabled water theme park, Volcano Bay.

Before joining Universal Parks & Resorts, Ty worked at Hilton Hotels & Resorts as the Vice President of Global Technology Solutions, where they led the delivery and operations of technology initiatives. Ty played a key role in enhancing the customer loyalty program and website, driving revenue growth through digital channels and call centers.

Ty began their career at Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, where they held executive leadership roles in technology strategy, architecture, and delivery. Ty contributed to various digital transformation programs and worked closely with sales, marketing, and guest experience teams.

Prior to their tenure at Disney, Ty worked as a Senior Manager at Vanguard. Ty also served as a board member for organizations such as Orlando Science Center and Central Florida STEM Education Council.

Ty Tastepe has a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University, a BA in Mathematics from Saint Vincent College, and an MBA from Villanova University. In addition, Ty has obtained the Qualified Technology Expert (QTE) certification from the Digital Directors Network in 2022.
