Marouane Karakhou

Marouane Karakhou has a diverse work experience in various roles. Marouane started their career as a Trainee at UVSQ Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, where they developed a desktop application for simulating the TCP/IP protocol. Marouane then worked as a Freelance Software Application Developer at iConnect, where they developed a desktop application for a technology repair and sales store.

Marouane also gained experience as a Freelance Public Relations and Communication Consultant, where they worked with various clients and held technical roles in software development and data. Marouane also took on management and communication roles for prominent brands.

In 2020, Marouane joined Diapason as an IT Financial Consultant, collaborating with clients in the financial and treasury sectors to develop end-to-end business solutions. Marouane then moved on to work as a Financial Technical Consultant at Eiffage, where they implemented financial projects and provided project management assistance.

In 2021, Marouane joined Thales as a Financial Technical Lead for the Diapason software, undertaking tasks such as conducting meetings with clients and designing technical reports for financial processes.

Recently, Marouane has taken on two roles in 2023. Marouane joined the FinOps Foundation as a Community Member, contributing to the formalization and advocacy of best practices in cloud financial management. Marouane also joined Cegid as a FinOps Lead, focusing on establishing FinOps and GreenOps governance for multicloud SAAS products.

Throughout their career, Marouane has demonstrated their expertise and proficiency in financial management, technical consulting, project management, and software development.

Marouane Karakhou completed a Master 1 degree in Data Management & Cybersecurity at UVSQ Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines from 2018 to 2019. Subsequently, they pursued a Master 2 degree in Data Management in a Large-Scale at Université Paris-Saclay from 2019 to 2020. In addition, Marouane obtained various certifications including AWS Technical Essentials from Amazon Web Services (AWS), FinOps Certified Practitioner from the FinOps Foundation, and AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft, all in the year 2023.
