Raymond Farmen, Ph.D. has had a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on bioanalytical services and drug development. Raymond began their career at Bristol-Myers Squibb, where they worked in the department of metabolism and pharmacokinetics. After several years, they were promoted to the position of Director, Bioanalytical R&D.

Following their time at Bristol-Myers Squibb, Farmen joined Phoenix International Life Sciences as Vice President, Analytical. Raymond then moved on to MDS Pharma Services, where they served as Vice President of Bioanalytical R&D for a decade.

In 2005, Farmen joined Camargo Pharmaceutical Services as Vice President, CMC & Bioanalytical Services. Raymond was responsible for developing formulations suitable for toxicology and clinical testing, as well as handling all of the bioanalytical work associated with drug development.

In 2008, Farmen became the President of Eurofins AvTech Laboratories, an analytical Contract Research Organization (CRO) that provides comprehensive analytical support for drug discovery and development. Raymond served in this role for two years before joining PharmOptima as President & CEO in 2010.

Currently, Farmen is the Vice President of Global Bioanalytical Services at Celerion, a leading provider of clinical research, clinical pharmacology sciences, bioanalytical, and drug development services.

Raymond Farmen, Ph.D. obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry & Biology from Heidelberg University, which they attended from 1972 to 1976. Raymond then pursued their Ph.D. in Pharmacology at Indiana University School of Medicine from 1976 to 1980.
