Katie Horowitz

Katie Horowitz has a wide range of work experience spanning several industries and roles. Their most recent position was with Cell-Ed, where they served as the Director of Program Design starting in February 2023. Prior to this, they held the role of Program Design Manager at the same company starting in October 2022.

Before joining Cell-Ed, Katie worked at Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania for several years. Katie started as a Peer Education Coordinator in May 2012 and later became the Vice President for Education in August 2014, a role they held until April 2019.

In 2009, Katie joined the Student Conservation Association as a Crew Leader and Crew Leader Supervisor, a position they held until May 2013. Katie also briefly worked as a Research Fellow at Mujeres Aliadas in 2011, focusing on Adolescent Development and Reproductive Health.

Earlier in their career, Katie served as the Director of A Fair in the Park from January 2008 to November 2010. Katie also worked as a Continuing Medical Education Coordinator at the University of Pittsburgh from March 2008 to May 2009.

Katie Horowitz pursued their education in a systematic manner. Katie obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Writing from the University of Pittsburgh from 2002 to 2006. Following this, they went on to pursue a Masters of Public Health degree in Behavioral and Community Health Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh - Graduate School of Public Health. This program of study lasted from 2010 to 2012.
