Rene Russo

Rene Russo has held a number of executive and medical roles throughout their career. In 2019, they were appointed Chief Executive Officer at Xilio Therapeutics, Inc. In 2020, they took on the role of Director at Celsius Therapeutics. From 2015 to 2019, they served as President and CEO and Chief Development Officer at Arsanis, Inc. From 2004 to 2015, they held various roles at Cubist Pharmaceuticals, including Vice President, Global Medical Affairs, Senior Director, Medical Affairs, Director, Marketing, and Clinical Scientific Director, Northeast. From 1999 to 2004, they worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb as Clinical Pharmacology, Anti-Infectives and Medical Operations, Infectious Diseases. Prior to this, they were a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey from 1999 to 2004.

Rene Russo attended Rutgers University from 1993 to 1999, where they earned a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD). Rene later attended Harvard Business School from 2009 to 2011, where they completed the PLD8/Module 5 Executive Education program.
