Process Operator at Celtic Renewables

Pat recently completed a 22-year career in the Royal Navy as an aircraft engineering & submarine weapons engineering specialist. He has been on tours spanning most of the world. He maintained, serviced, and modified battle damage repairs to Seaking Mk7 and Mk4, Merlin, Hercules and Wildcat aircraft both at sea and land. Pat has worked on all aspects of mechanical, airframe, fuel and heavy electrical engineering as well as project managing in-service aircraft moderations. He has gained qualifications in aeronautical engineering and chartered management and is currently in his last 18 months of a bachelor of engineering with honours degree.

Pat had the opportunity to develop and successfully bring both Queen Elizabeth aircraft carriers out of build from Rosyth and complete sea trails ready for operational tasking. He worked as a submarine service weapons engineer, specifically as a section team leader responsible for all ordnance, torpedoes and discharge systems on board a Vanguard class submarine.
